The Impact of Social Media on Student’s’ Academic Performance at Undergraduate Level at University of Turbat
Abstract
The main purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of social media on the academic performance of students in the Department of Education at the University of Turbat. The research employed a quantitative approach and followed a descriptive research design. The target population of the study consisted of 100 students. The objectives of the research were: (i) to determine the impact of social media on academic performance, (ii) to identify the extent to which social media inϐluences students, and (iii) to assess whether the use of social media has a positive effect on students’ academic performance. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire administered to a sample of 100 male and female students selected through a simple random sampling technique. The data were analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software. The ϐindings of the study indicate that social media has a positive impact on students’ academic performance
